Do I need an online number to attend Paint & Patina sales?
No! All are welcome to attend. Line numbers serve the purpose of organizing those that want to be among the very first shoppers in when we open the sale. Once those with a number are through there is no need to have one. C’mon in!
Why should I register in advance for a line number?
On-line registration for a line number replaces the old paper number concept at the door. This simple technology benefits our clients and shoppers alike for too many reasons to list here. In brief:
When can I register for a number?
Line number registrations are accepted for TWO days prior to the start of the sale during the designated registration window. If you register before or after the listed registration times, you will not receive a number. If you did not get a number, that’s okay! You are still welcome to attend the sale.
Why didn’t I receive an automated response after I registered?
By choice, we do not use an automated widget at this time. Automated widgets are too easy to manipulate. There are spambots, cyberbots and other evil-doers out there that just love stirring the pot. Our human eyes can better detect if someone is registering too many times and/or manipulating the system.
We send ONE email on the evening before the sale with line numbers. You will identify yourself by the prefix of your email address. For your privacy the entire address is not shown.
What’s the talk about the registration time stamp and your servers?
It’s simple. There is a two-hour time difference between here (CST) and the west coast (PST). When looking at the registration window, all you have to consider is our time zone, CST. That’s it!
Our web servers are located on the west coast. Therefore, the time stamp of your registration is actually shown in PST. We don’t correct this. We use the registration list exactly as it’s provided to us.
For example, if you register at 12AM on Thursday, it will show as 10PM on Wednesday.

On-line registration for a line number replaces the old paper number concept at the door. This simple technology benefits our clients and shoppers alike for too many reasons to list here. In brief:
- It keeps the neighborhood more secure and the neighbors happier. No one likes lines of people and a parade of cars at 5AM.
- Most importantly, our buyers enjoy not having to wait in line for two or more hours just to get in. Save time! Register online!
