PAINT & PATINA ESTATE SALE SERVICES, LLC
Thank you for your interest in Paint & Patina!
I started this business with the simple goal of putting my talent and knowledge to work while creating job opportunities for the modern mom and the modern retiree too. That one goal has quickly turned in to many.
I'm working to integrate more technology into the classic, estate sale culture. This benefits the client and the shopper alike. I'm also working to broaden the scope of reclaiming and re-purposing older items at our sales. This boosts profits for the estate and keeps things out of the landfills. I have so many more ideas and look forward to sharing them with you!
The crew I work with all have college degrees, former corporate gigs and now choose to support their families on a flexible, per diem schedule. (ie. one of many definitions of the "The Modern Mom!") Between us, our professional experience ranges from engineering to corporate marketing to real estate to former antique booth owners. Together, this knowledge boosts the estate sale and appraisal experience for my clients.
When it comes to business, I’m most interested in the details. I like the planning process. In fact, I like planning the planning process. I love to answer questions like; How do we approach this project logistically? Most efficiently? But perhaps my favorite question to ask in this business is, "What the heck is that thing anyway?" It's a journey to research and discover the odds and ends people collect. Every day, there's something new! I’m always taking notes. I’m always listening. And I’m best mid-morning. Decaf coffee, two creams, two sugars.
When it comes to life outside of work, I’m obsessed with our National Parks, late-night cable shows about astrophysics, classical guitar, hiking and gardening. Above all else, I am a mother and a wife. The greatest joy in my life is spending time with my two athletic and funny boys, my MacGyver-like husband and my sweet, slobbery K9. Add up all their shenanigans and it equals my definition of happiness.
